Honed Concrete

A great long lasting option for precast concrete walls and columns as there is nothing to wear away or scratch over time.  Available in a matte finish only and it has a penetrating sealer applied which protects the concrete and helps to prevent staining. Although you are not able to choose the gloss level, you are still able to choose your stone exposure level with honed concrete.

Polished Concrete

Polished concrete has a glossy, mirror-like finish and has become very popular as it is practicality coupled with the modern stylish look, along with easy maintenance and durability.

You can choose nearly any colour, create patterns with saw cuts, or embed aggregates or interesting objects into the concrete prior to polishing. The gloss of the concrete can also be controlled by using different levels of concrete polishing.

The process of polishing concrete is similar to sanding wood. Heavy-duty polishing machines equipped with progressively finer grits of diamond-impregnated segments or disks (akin to sandpaper) are used to gradually grind down surfaces to the desired degree of shine and smoothness. Depending on the diamond grit you use to polish a concrete floor, you can achieve different ranges of aggregate exposure and different levels of sheen, from matte to a glassy mirror-like finish.

Sandblasted Concrete

Sandblasting is a method to texture the surface of hardened concrete. Commonly known as abrasive blasting, sand or grit blasting is used to expose the aggregates within a hardened concrete, giving it a rustic and attractive look, by eroding the surface layer. The extent of sand blasting ranges from light cleaning to a deep cutting operation that exposes aggregates to around 2 cm.
